Rancho Alegre Farm provides hands-on learning experiences for people of all ages making it the perfect destination!
We offer a variety of unique and diverse opportunities including:
Field Trips – Our farm welcomes schools, day cares and preschools, home school groups, non-profit organizations and many more to join us for a great learning experience. Your group will do everything from composting to milking a goat! Visit our Field Trip page for more information.
Summer Camps – Children ages 4 and up will get their hands dirty and their minds engaged at our amazing summer camps! We encourage children to become farmers in every sense. Our campers will feed and care for our animals, prepare food from our garden produce and even give a horse a bath! Visit our Summer Camp page for more information.
Open Farm Days – Come enjoy a day every Spring and Fall designed for everyone. Anyone can come and enjoy a day at the farm. Go through our fun stations, ride a pony and have a picnic!
Workshops – Adult learners aren’t forgotten at our farm! Our daytime and evening workshops focus on healthy living and homesteading. We encourage hands-on participation and our learners leave with incredible knowledge. Visit our Workshop page for more information.
Meet Our Educational Director: Angie Mallard
My name is Angie Mallard and I’ve been teaching children for twenty years. I taught for eleven years as a Gwinnett County Elementary teacher and nine years as a preschool teacher. I love teaching children about science on our farm, the environment and how to work as a team like scientists. I am very familiar with the Gwinnett County curriculum and the Georgia State Standards for Education and touch on these standards when students come for field trips and summer camps. I enjoy making our farm experience fun and educational for students and stress free for teachers and parents.
