We provide weekday field trips for:
- Day care centers
- Public and private schools
- Home-school groups
- Play groups
- Families
Field trips can be scheduled for Tuesday – Thursday and generally last 1-1 ½ hours. However, we encourage you to bring your lunch and eat under cover at one of our spacious picnic pavilions.
Our field trips include:
We start off with a talk inside our banquet room about our farm and how it evolved, then go over some basic rules, and then discuss our dairy along with some things you can do with milk which goes into our cheese making demonstration
- Curriculum-based environmental educational talk tailored to the group that meets Georgia Performance Standards. (Please provide us with your curriculum focus that you would like us to cover)
- Learn fun facts about horses while grooming and petting one of our ponies (Pony Rides can be added for an additional $5.00 per child, please make these arrangements in advance as it requires additional staffing)
- Stop at the garden and see what grows in season
- Touring the farm via a hay ride
- See where we have our bee hives, and why bees are so important to grow our food
- Stop at our worm composting area and learn how we build our soil and how if we are good with Mother Nature, she is good with us
- Petting/Feeding our farm animals
- Visit the dairy parlor and get to hand milk a goat.
- Picnic Pavilions are available for Lunch
Cost: $7 per child (with a minimum of 10 paying children)
When we have an entire grade, we create stations and can add a few more if needed and rotate them. We can get it all done in 1 1/2 hours.

Free admission for teachers, aides and chaperons providing adult supervision, and accompanied children under two-years-old.
Please call two days before your scheduled field trip to give a more accurate head count so that we can plan accordingly. Also, please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time to allow for parking and gathering the children.
