Rancho Alegre Farm is the perfect place for an educational, fun, and interesting outdoor field trip. We provide weekday field trips for day cares, public and private schools, home-schooled groups, and play groups. Field trips can be scheduled for Tuesday - Thursday and generally last 1-1 ½ hours. However, we encourage you to use our picnic pavilions after for a picnic lunch.

Our field trips include:

• Curriculum-based environmental educational talk tailored to the children's age
• Turning compost
• Touring the farm via a hay ride
• Petting/Feeding our farm animals
• Grooming a pony
• Milking a goat (when in season)
• Making homemade cheese*
• Take-home agricultural activity book*
• Picnic pavilions for lunch

*Cheese making/sampling not done for 2nd grade and below
*Take-home activity books not provided beyond 5th grade

Cost: $7 per child with a minimum of 10 paying children

Teachers, aides and chaperones recieve free adminission for providing adult supervision. Children under two-years-old are also admitted for free.

Please call two days before your scheduled field trip to give a more accurate head count so we can plan accordingly.
